Wedding  [back]

We were very lucky to find the ceremony and reception site of our dreams. I found this one-of-a-kind place one day, not too long after our engagement, by searching on the internet. Jerrold and I loved the history and uniqueness that surounded Wellers'. It began as a flour mill that was restored by Henry Ford to refine soybeans for use in the automotive industry. The property is now recognized on the National Register of Historic Buildings. "This timeless property appeals to those looking for a truly memorable location for their weddings." Here are some pictures we took during our first visit to Wellers'.

History

Henry Ford Room

We felt that Wellers offered everything we were looking for. It was the only reception site we needed to look at. We got the feeling right away that this was THE place that we would be getting married at. These are some views of the Henry Ford Room. The richly colored woods made the room feel very warm and inviting.

The Keeping Room

Here are some views of the bridal "Keeping Room." It is a room above the Henry Ford Room in which the bridal party can get ready in. This is where I would first see myself fully dressed as a bride!

The East Ceremony Grounds

We couldn't view the East Ceremony Grounds when we visited for our first meeting because there was still snow on the ground in January. Here are a few pictures from the Wellers' website
